Abi Hardiman is a multidisciplinary musician, songwriter, performer, and music educator based in Margate. Her work spans live performance, studio writing, and community practice — from leading original projects and collaborations to teaching and facilitating creative workshops.
As a percussionist and vocalist, Abi has performed across the UK and Europe with ensembles including Baque Luar, Big Ben Jorge, and Light Beats, and she is currently launching her own function project, Dara Voss, a jazz duo performance persona.
Alongside live performance, Abi has contributed as a topline writer and session vocalist for artists and library music, with releases on EMI Production Music and collaborations with producers such as SONLIFE.
Born and raised in Hackney and shaped by the south-east London music scene after being at the BRIT school for 4 years, Abi developed her sound early on with her first creative band, Haraket. Over the last two years, she has explored her project MASIBA as a band, blending trip-hop, ambient, and electronic influences into intimate, layered, and atmospheric soundscapes. Her performances invite audiences into spaces that are both raw and dreamlike.
Abi is now developing her first solo body of work, drawing on her background in rhythm, harmony and storytelling to create music that blends percussive energy with atmospheric, vocal-driven soundscapes.
